SEC Chairman Paul S. Atkins signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CFTC on March 11, 2026, to coordinate crypto regulation. He testified before the Senate Banking Committee in February 2026 that prediction markets present a 'huge issue' with 'overlapping jurisdiction' between the two agencies.
