CREATURE — SENATOR
Search Null⊙ 1When Peter Welch enters the battlefield, target opponent reveals their hand. If they have any card referencing a public record, exile it. (This ability represents the lack of search results for this name in public databases.)
Database Dead End⊙ 2Tap: Target player cannot search their library for a card named 'Public Record' until end of turn. (This reflects the absence of lobbying disclosures, voting records, and campaign finance data for this name.)
Name Collision⊙ 3When Peter Welch attacks, you may have it become a copy of another target goblin with the same name until end of turn. (This represents the disambiguation challenges encountered in web searches.)
Public records searches as of May 2026 did not surface a distinct profile for a U.S. Senator from Vermont named Peter Welch, possibly due to name collision or database coverage gaps. This card reflects the absence of confirmable documentation rather than any inferred behavior.
