Maiden Lane LLC refers to a series of special purpose vehicles (Maiden Lane I, II, and III) created by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2008 during the financial crisis. These entities were established to acquire troubled assets, primarily in connection with the Bear Stearns acquisition by JPMorgan Chase (Maiden Lane I) and the AIG bailout (Maiden Lane II and III). Court records and legal filings involving these entities primarily relate to asset recovery litigation, disputes with counterparties, and regulatory proceedings. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York served as managing member of these LLCs, and their creation and operation were subject to significant Congressional oversight and Government Accountability Office audits.
