Where Brady broke with the party
Every yea or nay cast against the Republican majority on that roll call, newest first. Each row links to the chamber's official tally.
No votes on file for this member yet.
The full record
Every roll call this member was recorded on. Rows shaded red are the breaks above; “split” means the party had no majority position on that vote.
No roll calls on file.
Who funds Brady
Not fetched from the FEC yet — funding is filled in nightly, oldest first.
What Brady put their name to
No sponsored or cosponsored measures on file for this Congress yet — every measure is synced nightly from govinfo.
What Brady says on the floor
538 passages in the Congressional Record, from the chamber's own transcript. Where a passage names a measure and the member voted on it within 45 days, the words and the vote sit together.
Madam Speaker, reclaiming my time. Our colleagues have
known for 2 years this debt ceiling was here, never passed a budget,
never passed an appropriations bill. They let this crisis occur and
built it time after time after time when we could easily have come
together.
By the way, our Democrat colleagues hold the H…
Madam Speaker, I yield myself the balance of my time to
close.
The claim we just heard, that only Democrats want to prevent these
cuts to our local doctors and hospitals, is just nonsense. Democrats
and Republicans have worked hard together to extend the moratorium on
the sequester cuts on our providers, our docto…
Madam Speaker, I yield 2 minutes to the gentleman from
Texas (Mr. Burgess), leader of the Republican Doctors Caucus who worked
to put these solutions together.…
Madam Speaker, I yield 4 minutes to the gentleman from
Missouri (Mr. Smith), the Republican leader of the Budget Committee and
a member of the Ways and Means Committee.…
Madam Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume.
Madam Speaker, today ought to be a rare day for bipartisanship on
behalf of patients and healthcare providers across America. Sadly, it
is another day for Democrats' partisanship.
Providing needed funding for Medicare providers, our local doctors
and hosp…
Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record a letter from
American Farm Bureau who represents nearly 6 million families and
American farmers asking us to reject passage of this bill due to
inflation and how this hurts America's farmers.

What Brady trades
No STOCK Act transaction reports on file for this member (House filings only so far).
How this is assembled
Roll calls come from the Senate's LIS XML (senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes) and the House Clerk's EVS XML (clerk.house.gov/evs), fetched nightly and never edited.
The party line on a roll call is the majority among that party's yea and nay votes. Party unity is the share of this member's yea/nay votes that matched it; a break is a vote that did not. Votes of “present” and absences count toward attendance only.
Members are identified by Biographical Directory (bioguide) id; senators' LIS ids are mapped through the unitedstates/congress-legislators roster.
Floor speeches come from the Congressional Record (govinfo), split at the speaker lines the Record prints and matched to the member by surname, chamber and state; a passage that names a measure the member later voted on is paired with that vote. Trades are the member's own STOCK Act periodic transaction reports — House filings parsed from the Clerk's PDFs, Senate filings from the Senate's electronic disclosure system. A trade is flagged when its company's sector is one a committee the member sits on oversees, when the member cast a yea or nay on a measure in that sector within thirty days of the trade, or when PACs in that sector gave the member $10,000 or more in a cycle. Sectors for companies come from the SEC's company list and SIC codes; measures' policy areas from the Library of Congress via govinfo.
Funding is the member's principal campaign committee as filed with the FEC: receipt totals from the committee's summary, every contribution from another political committee (Form 3, line 11C), and the FEC's own roll-up of individual money by employer. Sectors are assigned by a fixed, published list of name patterns, and the rule that fired is stored with each row.
A break with the party is a fact of the record, not a verdict. Procedural votes, amendments and motions to recommit are all in here; what a given break means is a question for the measure it was on, which is one click away.
