// THE ROLL-CALL RECORD

How they actually voted

Every recorded vote in the House and Senate since 2023, from the chambers' own tallies. For each member: how often they voted with their party's majority, where they broke from it, and how often they were there at all. Speeches are theatre; this is the record.

How to read this table party unity, breaks, attendance, across the aisle, flagged trades Party line is each party's majority among yea and nay on a roll call. Party unity is the share of a member's yea/nay votes that went with that line; breaks counts the votes that went against it. Attendance is the share of roll calls the member voted on. Across aisle is the share of the member's cosponsorships this Congress that are on measures introduced by the other party, over the number cosponsored — whose bills they sign when nobody is counting. Flagged trades counts the member's reported securities trades that overlap a committee they sit on, a sector vote within thirty days, or a sector whose PACs fund them (House filings only so far), over the member's total trades. A low unity number means independence from the caucus, not virtue, and a flagged trade is an overlap, not a finding — the member's page shows exactly which votes and trades, and on what.
